Liane works closely with the forest and climate experts at American Forests to inspire advocacy for initiatives to restore forests in large, rural landscapes by sharing the stories of the science, people and partnerships behind them. Prior to joining American Forests, she supported healthy forests, wetlands and rivers as a communications officer with the Oregon Department of State Lands. Liane also previously led integrated communications campaigns for science and technology clients at The Abbi Agency, a public relations firm in Reno, Nevada. She received her Master of Science in Communicating Science, Health, Environment, and Risk from the University of Utah and holds bachelor’s degrees in strategic communications and marketing from the University of Nevada, Reno.
